About the event
Welcome home…
We dance on the ancient lands of the Wurundjeri people, may we remember the land we walk on and the custodians that have cared for these lands since time began.
Together we will…
~ Gather in circle
~ Acknowledge country and custodians
~ Drop into the space through a short guided meditation
~ Share in Cacao
~ Receive intuitive sounds as we pray with and drink cacao
~ Dance freely to deep Earthy beats.
~ Return to circle and close with sharing and song.
In ancient times, ritual was a way to give gratitude, it was a way for us to give back to Mother Nature. So with the sacred plant of Cacao may we send up our prayers and intentions in harmony with Country and in acknowledgment of her Original People.
Earthdance is a ceremony that brings us together to remember and reconnect to the land that holds us. It is a coming home to our bodies, in this place, we return to our nature, our belonging to the Earth, remembering our ancient selves.
~~~
This is an inclusive event for people who identify as and live as women. As a meditation and movement practice there is no need for dance experience. All women welcome here.
We acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woiwurrung people of the Kulin nation as the original Custodians. We acknowledge their ceremony, song and dance that will always live on in the land. May we respect this ancient land, culture and custodians.
What do people say about it?
"What a beautiful experience! I have been to two of Karla’s earth dance events. Karla is such a calm and comforting facilitator, she allowed me to really open up and make the most of these incredible all Women’s ceremonies. I truely recommend that you try it for yourself. Thank you so much Karla for your commitment to creating an environment like this for women! It’s truely magical."
 "I arrived closed, helpless, alone, angry.  The space, the foundation, the music, the guided dance journey, gave me permission to listen to myself again. To let the wisdom of my body’s knowing dance me, release and renew." -Metta
"Each time I have had the joy of participating in Earthdance with these two wonderful women I have been opened up to the opportunity to really feel present in my body. The combination of dance, stillness and gentle moving meditation gave me a chance to experience what I have been struggling with mentally and emotionally." -AliceÂ
